Bio
Victoria Lyamina was born
in Moscow where as a child she studied piano graduating
in 1982.
As a vocalist, Victoria studied voice as a lyric soprano
at Gnesin Music Academy with Ms. Zara Doluchanova and Eugenia
Sceveleva; she studied also chamber music with Ms. Nina
Delizieva.
Miss Lyamina has received many grants and other national
and international awards such as "Novye Zvezdy"
in Moscow, "Bach and Schubert Competition" (1994),
"Rovere d'Oro" in San Bartolomeo (Imperia - Italy)
in addition to the first prize in the "Romanzalia"
television competition (1997).
From 1993 to 2005 she has been soloist of Moscow's Helikon
Theatre and from 1996 she appears as soloist with Moscow
Philarmonia under the baton of Alexandr Vedernikov, Veronica
Dudarova, Pavel Sorokin, Vladimir Ponkin and Yuri Evtushenko.
Miss Lyamina has been applauded for opera performances in
Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris and Geneva and is renowned as
well for the roles of Amneris (Verdi's Aida), Orlofsky (Johann
Strauss Jr.'s Die Fledermaus), Nicklausse (Offenbach's Les
contes d'Hoffmann), Countess (Tchaikovsky's Pique Dame).
In recital, she has performed extensively throughout the
Russia and Europe regularly performing with close collaborations
with internationally renown pianists.
Her voice has been lauded as one of exceptional beauty and
versatility, coupled with a rich, full-bodied, velvet quality.
She is also admired as much for her stunning stage presence
as for her exceptional musicality.
Ms. Lyamina's current repertoire displays her wide range
which includes everything from russian composers (from Glinka
to Rachmaninoff), Opera, Light Opera, Operetta to Russian
Romances and Songs.
Victoria's first solo CD - Giardino in Sogno - displays
her remarkable talents both as pianist and vocalist embracing
a repertoire that includes a wide range of russian songs
from early 20th century.
Her italian debut, where she actually lives, was in 2003
for "Società del Quartetto e Amici della Musica
Association".
Many of the productions in which she has appeared have been
broadcast on the radio.
Ms. Lyamina has enjoyed close collaborations with "Ensemble
Punto it" chamber group leaded by pianist Filippo Faes
for amazing musical projects performed in Milano (Sala Verdi
del Conservatorio) and Vicenza (Teatro Olimpico) where was
recently recorded the DVD "Homage to Johannes Brahms".
Ms. Lyamina also holds masterclasses focused on the interpretation
of the Russian song literature.
