Russian repertoire vocal
masterclasses
Ms. Lyamina holds masterclasses
based on Russian vocal repertoire and dedicated to professional
singers and advance student singers who intend to develop
technique, style and interpretation of this particular repertoire.
A rich musical heritage still not well known in the Western
world.
The father of russian Opera was without any doubt Mikhail
Ivanovich Glinka (1804-1857). Glinka was very close to italian
composers Vincenzo Bellini and Gaetano Donizatti and the
"bel canto" style.
After him, more popular russian composers come such as Rimski
Korsakov, Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Stravinsky
The masterclass involves around 40 hours and starts with
an outline of cyrillic alphabet (reading and correct pronouncing)
followed by a thorough examination of historical context
of the works as well as artistic profile and biographical
notes of the composers. Translation to italian language
will be also very important to reach philological and emotional
interpretation.
Important italian music schools such as "Arrigo Pedrollo"
State Conservatory of Music in Vicenza (year 2006) choosen
the masterclass holds by Ms. Lyamina under the title: "from
Glinka to Rachmaninov".
Singers who work with her appreciate the reality-based techniques
she teaches that still keep the singing real, honest and
from the heart
